The Rieger type ER overflow valves have evolved from the type E8 and form the “Reverse Acting” series of Rieger overflow valves. These type ER overflow valves can be opened pneumatically for CIP cleaning. You can also change the setting pressure manually within the available setting range. This type of valve with its housing configuration is used to protect a pump with a bypass line.
